History of Cartersville Area Writers (CAW)

 Cartersville Area Writers (CAW) began as a sister group to Calhoun Area Writers. Founded by Karli Land in August 2022, CAW has made significant strides since its inception. Our first president, Mandy L. Cantrell, not only built the group from the ground up but also managed to write and publish several books. The leadership team included Richard Fierce as the first vice president, AP Whitfield as the first secretary, Madison Spencer as the first communications coordinator, Terri Cox as a board member-at-large, and KD Smith as the first social media and promotions coordinator.

  In just two years, CAW has experienced tremendous growth. We successfully hosted our annual CAW Writers Conferences, published our annual CAW Anthologies titled “The Crow Speaks Vols I and II,” and organized numerous speakers and workshops. CAW is a Bartow/Cartersville Chamber of Commerce member and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. CAW is on most social media platforms. Follow Us:
